The fish taco is the signature meal at Rubio’s Coastal Grill. The chain works in the “Fresh Mex” or “New Mex” segment. According to the company, they haven’t changed the recipe since their first outlet opened in 1983.
In addition to the Original Fish Taco, the Rubio’s menu also includes grilled seafood tacos and burritos made with seafood, bowls and salads prepared with seafood. Guests may order chicken, steak, vegetables, nachos, and quesadillas. There’s also an array of sides and desserts. Apart from non-alcohol drinks, the menu includes local beer, Mexican beer, and wine.
Rubio’s prices are considered fair, although seafood is typically more expensive than other protein sources. The chain currently operates nearly 205 outlets.
