The chain of fast food restaurants Hardee’s / Carl’s Jr. Is specialized at serving hot burger of big sizes. It covers practically all states, but it is especially popular in the South and Middle West.
The two restaurant chains share a lot in common, from the menu (which is exactly the same) to branding (just take a look at the little gold star). These similarities are only natural, taking into consideration that both the brands are operated by one and the same company, CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc.
In Hardee’s / Carl’s Jr. menu obligatory big portions are present. However, every customer is able to choose – portion of 0,5 or 0,25 pounds. The first restaurant of the chain was opened in 1960 in Greenville, North Carolina. Today the main office is situated in St. Louise, Missouri, and the restaurants themselves – practically everywhere.

Hardee’s restaurants are located mainly in Midwestern and Southern states, while Carl’s Jr.’s locations can be found mainly in Western and Northern states. Hardee’s prices are the same as Carl’s Jr. prices. In comparison with other fast food restaurants, they are a bit higher. The reason is perfectly understandable – they serve meals in bigger sizes.
Both the Hardee’s menu and the Carl’s Jr. menu are based on thickburgers. In addition to them, they have quite a few non-beef items, including chicken and fish sandwiches, as well as French fries.
