As of the spring of 2018, the fast-food chain Cook Out has over 230 locations in more than 10 states, from North Carolina (where the company was established in 1989) to Maryland, West Virginia, and Tennessee. The company has drive-thru outlets in more than 100 cities. Although the chain was founded around 30 years ago, it hasn’t been sold to third parties and still belongs to the founder, Morris Reaves.
The core of the Cook Out menu comprises grilled hamburgers, BBQ, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, quesadillas, tendies, and nuggets. Other popular options include milkshakes (over 40 flavors), cheesecakes, wraps and more.
Cook Out prices are cheaper than the industry average. There’s a whole section of the menu with items that cost only 99 cents.
